Human’s disability
Engaging with design and human for making a better life through creating new systems or products, are the main goal of designers working or studying.
I have been observing special cases of human behaviors for a long time since I started studying design. Especially, I was interested in disabled people’s life. I realized that the situations of disabled people had many opportunities to improve their lives by design. If disabled person is being comfortable by some design products, it is more convenient to a normal person who doesn’t have physical disability.
I want to show what I have thought, what I have created for disabled people to improve their lives as similar as normal people they always have been dreaming. Disabled people just want to sense very little things they haven’t felt, such as, watching a television, playing ball and moving without help.
My design process would concern about the people who living the side of modern society. As a designer, if I focus on the issue that I mentioned above, I could create more opportunities ever after. Here is a specific example I was inspired. My favorite design product is a straw bending freely by wrinkles. A housewife in the Japan who took care of his sickness son tried to provide foods easily, so she made a bending straw. I think those conscious and effort will change our lives, and it could be a small step for better future.
